"____以后" ("yǐhòu") is a super handy Chinese phrase that helps you talk about events or actions that happen after a certain time period or event. It can refer to the future, past or present, depending on the context in which it is used. This structure is commonly used in combination with verbs to describe an action that takes place after a particular event or time period. For example, "吃饭以后" (chī fàn yǐ hòu) means "after eating a meal" and "多年以后" (duō nián yǐ hòu) means "after many years."
The structure "place 充满 sth" (place + chōng mǎn+sth) is used to talk about a place that's filled with something. In Chinese, we can use it to describe anything from a physical space to someone's emotions or thoughts. For example, in the sentence "不安全充满了你疲倦的双眼" (Insecurity fills your tired eyes), "不安" (insecurity) is what's filling the person's eyes.
"A告诉Bsth" is a structure that means "A tells B sth". for example, "看着我也告诉我" in the lyrics means "look at me and also tell me".
"依然+verb" (yīrán + verb) means "still do sth".despite the passage of time or other changes. For example, in the sentence "你是否依然相信童话", "依然相信" means "still believe".
回到+place" "huí dào + place" is used in Chinese to indicate that someone or something return to a place. For example, "你回到我身边" in the lyrics means "you return to my side".
A 对 B 说 sth: (A duì B shuō sth) This structure means "A says something to B." "对" (duì) here means "to" or "towards." 你曾对我说" (nǐ céng duì wǒ shuō) means "You once said to me."
一颗心:(yī kē xīn) This means "one heart." "颗" (kē) is a measure word used for small, round objects like hearts, seeds, and pills., "每颗心都寂寞" (měi kē xīn dōu jìmò) means "Every heart is lonely."
Sub+被+obj+verb: (Sub bèi obj verb) This structure is called the passive voice in Chinese. It means "Sub is being verb-ed by obj.""被" (bèi) here means "by." For example, "每颗心都脆弱都渴望被触摸" (měi kē xīn dōu cuìruò dōu kěwàng bèi chùmō) means "Every heart is fragile and longs to be touched."
Verb+着 (verb+zhe): This structure indicates a continuous action in progress. "着" (zhe) is a particle used to show the continuation of an action. "但你的心永远的燃烧着" (dàn nǐ de xīn yǒngyuǎn de ránshāo zhe) means "But your heart is always burning."
会+verb: (huì + verb) 会 (huì) is used to indicate the future tense and is translated as "will" or "would." In the sentence "永远的不会退缩" (yǒngyuǎn de bù huì tuìsuō), it means "will not." The sentence means " will never retreat."
The structure "越+verb+越+adj" "yuè + verb + yuè + adj" is a commonly used Chinese grammar pattern that compares how the degree of an action impacts the degree of a quality or condition. In other words, the more a particular action is taken, the greater the degree of change in a particular quality or condition."越长大越孤单" (yùe zhǎng dà yùe gūdān) means that as one gets older, one becomes more and more lonely, while "越长大越不安" (yùe zhǎng dà yùe bù ān) implies that as one grows older, one feels increasingly uneasy.
"不得不" (bù dé bù) is a commonly used Chinese phrase that means "have no choice but to" or "must". It is used to express the idea that there is no other option or alternative but to do something, often in situations where one is forced to do something against one's will.
In the lyrics "也不得不看梦想的翅膀被折断" (yě bù dé bù kàn mèngxiǎng de chìbǎng bèi zhéduàn), the singer is saying that they have no choice but to see their dreams' wings being broken.
in "也不得不收回曾经的话问自己" (yě bù dé bù shōuhuí céngjīng de huà wèn zìjǐ), the singer is expressing that they must retract their past words and question themselves.
"也不得不打开保护你的降落伞" (yě bù dé bù dǎkāi bǎohù nǐ de jiàngluòsǎn) means the singer has no other option but to open the parachute that protects their loved one.
Please note that "不得不" (bù dé bù) is usually used in negative or undesirable situations, and it emphasizes the lack of alternatives or options available to the speaker.
突然间+verb: (Túrán jiān + verb). This structure means "suddenly + verb," indicating that something happens unexpectedly or suddenly. 也突然间明白未来的路不平坦 (Yě tūrán jiān míngbái wèilái de lù bù píngtǎn).Also suddenly realized that the future path is not smooth.
突然间 (Túrán jiān) can also be used at the beginning of a sentence to emphasize the suddenness of an event.突然间,我明白未来的路不平坦 (Túrán jiān, wǒ míngbái wèilái de lù bù píngtǎn).
难道: (Nándào). This is a particle used in a question to express surprise or doubt. It is often used to express the speaker's rhetorical question or to emphasize the meaning of the sentence. 难道说这改变是必然 (Nándào shuō zhè gǎibiàn shì bìrán).Could it be that this change is inevitable?
