流血 (liú xuè) – to bleed

  • Used when blood comes out due to an injury or accident.

  • Example: 他摔倒了,流血了Tā shuāi dǎo le, liú xuè leHe fell and started bleeding.



严重 (yán zhòng) – serious or severe

  • Describes something critical, urgent, or requiring immediate attention.

  • Example: 这个问题很严重Zhè ge wèn tí hěn yán zhòngThis problem is serious.



来不及 (lái bu jí) – too late or not enough time

  • Indicates there’s not enough time to finish something.

  • Example: 快点儿,再不走就来不及了Kuài diǎn er, zài bù zǒu jiù lái bu jí leHurry up, or we’ll be late!



超过 (chāo guò) – to surpass or exceed

  • Means to go beyond a limit, number, or standard.

  • Example: 他跑得很快,超过了所有人Tā pǎo de hěn kuài, chāo guò le suǒ yǒu rénHe ran so fast that he surpassed everyone.



散步 (sàn bù) – to take a walk

  • Refers to a leisurely stroll, often to relax or enjoy the moment.

  • Example: 吃完饭后,我们去散步吧Chī wán fàn hòu, wǒ men qù sàn bù baLet’s go for a walk after dinner.



指 (zhǐ) – to point or refer

  • Can mean physically pointing at something or referring to something in conversation.

  • Example 1: 他用手指着地图Tā yòng shǒu zhǐ zhe dì túHe pointed at the map.

  • Example 2: 这里的‘她’指的是校长Zhè lǐ de ‘tā’ zhǐ de shì xiào zhǎngHere, ‘she’ refers to the principal.



精神 (jīng shén) – mental health or energy

  • Meanings:

    1. Refers to mental health or psychological well-being.

    2. Describes someone's vitality, energy, or alertness.

  • Example 1: 他今天看起来特别有精神Tā jīn tiān kàn qǐ lái tè bié yǒu jīng shénHe looks really energetic today!

  • Example 2: 保持精神健康很重要Bǎo chí jīng shén jiàn kāng hěn zhòng yàoMaintaining mental health is very important.



数字 (shù zì) – numbers or figures

  • Refers to numerical values or data.

  • Example: 这些数字代表了公司的成长Zhè xiē shù zì dài biǎo le gōng sī de chéng zhǎngThese numbers represent the company’s growth.



辛苦 (xīn kǔ) – hard work or effort

  • Highlights effort and difficulty in tasks.

  • Example: 你们辛苦了,谢谢!Nǐ men xīn kǔ le, xiè xie!You’ve worked hard, thank you!



烦恼 (fán nǎo) – worries or troubles

  • Refers to emotional burdens or mental stress.

  • Example: 最近工作上的烦恼太多了Zuì jìn gōng zuò shàng de fán nǎo tài duō leThere’s been too much work-related worry lately.



掉 (diào) – resultive complement

  • Indicates loss or completion of an action.

  • Example: 他跑掉了Tā pǎo diào leHe ran away.
